Chèvre Fermier (Charente)
This is certainly one of the nicest goat's cheeses I have ever had. It is the last of the wonderful package of cheeses my friend got for me when we met in Lower Normandy last week.
Made with unpasteurised milk it had quite a strong flavour. I think goat's cheese is just so versatile. The 'brique' I was given was quite large - so for lunch I had the wonderful salad pictured above, and then in the evening I made some very tasty tartelettes!
