The High Street

I walked into the village this afternoon to post two birthday cards, one should arrive on time, the other one should have been there today! We have a postbox nearby, but it is cleared only once a day and at some unearthly hour in the morning.
 
I took this picture outside our village shop, which is also the Post Office and although I took quite a few other pictures I liked the dark clouds in this picture. It is quite warm and no rain so far today.
 
My hand looks a bit of a mess, but it has also started to heal so it is unlikely to mean a trip to the surgery for antibiotics. The results of my blood tests, which were taken yesterday, came back today as ‘normal’; a very fast turnaround.
