Recycling Art or the Art of recycling?

This confection in steel stands at the corner of the footpath to Corinthian way from the Humber Dock road and is part of the Civic Arts program by BNP (British National Ports)
As you all no doubt know already it is instantly recognisable as the actuating mechanism of an "Orange peel" grab has been mounted upside down on a plinth and the claw shaped jaws that sat in the curves at the top of each arm used to open like a flower when it was lowered to do salvage work, or dredging have been removed as worn out when it was scrapped before ending up as an Art Object.
