If you can't beat them...

Cuba

A busy day.  We set off mid morning calling in at the studio with the intention of picking up some things and then on to drop off on one of Clickychick's clients.  A visit by a friend delayed things and we ended up having lunch at the studio.

After lunch we went down the A66 did the drop off and of course stopped at the Llama Karma Kafe for a coffee (or should that be a Koffee to keep up the alliteration).  That was followed by arriving late at the Lodge for some gardening.  I got the grass cut in a blur of motion as it was spitting and I worried that it would rain.

Today's shot is of Cuba one of the Llamas that was in an area outside which has animals as an attraction.   Llamas (as I am sure you know) are relations of the camel, but what I find interesting is the fact Camelids are found spread across the world - Bactrians in Mongolia, Dromedaries in Africa and the Llamas, Alpacas etc from S America.  This suggests to me they must have had their ancestors  around way back in time before continental drift separated the land masses.
