Don't Try This At Home

This is one of those entries that's a better story than a photo. I give you an image of kvass gone bad; it was impossible to get a crisp shot of all the life forms floating on top of the foaming liquid. The blobs themselves are very webby and out of focus in real life, so nothing I could do in camera could improve that. The final product was supposed to be fermented beet juice, an excellent tasty tonic that I sampled last week and tried to duplicate. Don't worry, I won't drink it. I'm not sure I'll try again, but you all will be among the first to know if I do.
