Purple reign

Got in from work yesterday evening and started seed collecting from the meadow. This is an odd past time, but one which is strangely addictive and I find that I quickly become completely absorbed. Last night it was the turn of ragged robin (a bit like poppy seeds but much smaller), hay rattle (papery thin circumference with a raised centre, like bloated hosts - Catholics will concur) and some of the quaking grass and salad burnet.

Today it's rain, rain, rain.
