Colours in the sky

A strange day and when I looked out to see what the weather was doing I noticed the colourful clouds. Iridescent Clouds are caused when ' tiny water droplets or small ice crystals individually scatter light'. They are not seen that often so although I had to enhance the photo to make them show up more they had to be my blip for today.
No rain today so far but it's been windy and has been causing problems for the golfers in the Scottish Open Golf at Castle Stuart across the water from us. The golfers also have to watch out for Bumble bees as a project started in 2014 has been very successful. A 'flourishing habitat for the bees was introduced' and ' Castle Stuart staff planted a plentiful amount of indigenous heather and installed hive boxes to ensure the bees' food source and safety.'
