Rampion Cable Route: Above Beggar's Bush

I took a drive today along a road I haven't travelled since childhood: the one that runs from Steyning, up the Bostal and across the Downs to Sompting.

As the road crests the Downs and begins the descent towards the coast, it comes in sight of the onshore cable route for the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm that is currently being constructed out to sea between Brighton and Worthing.

The view here shows the cable route surmounting the final ridge of the Downs before the sea, above the hamlet of Beggar's Bush nestling in the Coombe below.
