RUN!

I have to say that Women's basketball may even have found itself a new fan! The second game we saw - between Russia and Canada - was particularly nailbiting stuff (possibly because by that time I was a bit more awake after an early start to the day and was starting to get a clearer idea of what the actual rules were...) The Olympic Park itself is pretty cool - none of us were particularly impressed with Anish Kapoor's new crane but all the shiny new stadia (particularly the fabulous Velodrome) constitute some pretty impressive sculptures in themselves - and despite the crowds and queues most things seemed to run pretty smoothly. We spent the afternoon watching the Men's Road Race on a big screen in the middle of the Park.
