City University

Still catching up on Birmingham blips, this is the City University and Millennium Point where I spent most of the day. It was interesting to see some remnants of old Birmingham surviving round here, in particular the old Curzon Street Station entrance building, a grand classical edifice that looks totally out of place  against the modern developments.

I ended the day seeing a performance of the Hamilton Complex at Birmingham Rep, featuring 13 13 year old girls and a body builder, strange and compelling. The review in the Guardian when it was in London gives the best idea of what it's about.
