Heavenly Happy Birthday

Today would've been Mimi Corsons 82 birthday. Kathy and I had discussed that if Mimi was with us today, she would have enjoyed sharing a volcano bowl at the Chinese restaurant... so, that's just what we did!

Kathy, Heather, Courtney, BJ, me and the kids all met at Mei Lee Garden to celebrate her life. The volcano bowl was ordered and we toasted to Mimi. Dinner was delicious, filling - but delicious.

After dinner we skipped into the dollar store for some helium balloons. The kids wanted to release them in celebration of her birthday. Visiting her grave, each great-grandchild held their balloon, said a little wish and released them into the air; their destination - heaven. We all watched as they caught the winds and lifted upward.

It's heartwarming to see Kaylee, Colby and Courtney embrace her memory and allow her to remain a part of our thoughts. Through this process, I feel that they have accepted her passing and know that one day we all will be reunited.

Happy Birthday Mimi Corson, I hope you have celebrated with loved ones and watched from above as we celebrated as well. Your birthday balloons are on their way with all our love!
