Beach huts...
...in Amble.
Thank goodness it's Friday - it's seemed a very long and quite stressful week at work. Reports are all in and most have been approved at last, much to my relief!
A lovely afternoon so, as soon as I got back from work, we set off for Amble (calling in to Alnwick en route to pick up the tiles for the bathroom). No better way to end the week than fish & chips by the sea, and a walk on the pier in glorious sunshine. A few more shots of Amble in Extras. In the first is Warkworth Castle, seen across the estuary.
Back to Alnwick to do the supermarket shop and to buy a few annuals for the courtyard, and then home via the lakes at Branton, mainly for Louie's benefit. We walked as far as the bird hide and there were fabulous views across the lake as the sun was going down. More Extras! An amazing number of flies above the water but, mercifully, no midges biting this evening!
