Looking up...

...to the top of one of the huge wild-cherry trees on the Common. This particular tree is in a sunny spot and the fruit is ripe. Blackbirds have been feasting on it, and we spotted a young red squirrel bouncing around in the tree and enjoying cherries for breakfast.

After a trip to the local garden centre, it was a working day. MrM has been busy in the workshop. And I have been mostly 'gardening' in the 'yard. Lots more still to do!

Wish I'd known it was the Durham Miners' Gala. Might have been tempted to abandon the plants (and MrM and Louie), and go on an adventure...
