Le Nid

Beatles evening at Le Nid (bar on the top floor of the Tour de Bretagne in Nantes), featuring 4 bands + various jam sessions.

We had a 5 song set in the middle, we were asked to play early stuff so our set list was:
- All My Loving
- Hold Me Tight
- Hard Day's Night
- Can't Buy Me Love
- I Saw Her Standing There

A good friend of mine (Jean-Claude) had set up a band just for the evening, and played post-Beatles stuff, mainly McCartney, with real horns. 

Best part of the evening, though, was (after a few beers) the final song - Helter Skelter - for which they didn't need a bass player, but I joined in on backing vocals, with Phil, Julius & Jean-Claude. We had so much fun, singing our hearts out.

I also played bass in one of the jam sessions, covering Till There Was You, with a great Chilean singer who played a nice solo on the classical guitar. It was quite reminiscent of some of the Starscrewer stuff, many years ago...
