The Wadworth Shires (Saturday 9th July 2016)

This is Archie being groomed by Hannah at the end of Archie and Monty's two-hour lunchtime stint at the Pheasant in Chippenham. He is now as tall as Monty and this week the three Wadworth shires went out as a team pulling the dray for the first time, with Max leading the other two. They weren't sure how they would work together, but everything went perfectly. Archie has a wonderful temperament and both he and Monty let me stroke their faces and noses. Max had the day off today, in the new stables behind the Wadworth's Brewery in Devizes.

Hannah is with Monty in the Extra, walking him to the Transporter to be taken back to the stables.
