Going back in time

The final part of our holiday was an adventure in archaeology - Pete is a big fan of Time Team and so for his birthday we spent this weekend on an archaeological dig near Peterborough. The details of the Flag Fen project are here and details of the site itself are here.

The picture shows (left) a reconstructed Bronze Age roundhouse, and (right) the Wattle and Daub (beer tent - probably slightly more recent than Bronze Age).
