Ice
A lump of ice, shaken from a tarpaulin, landed on dead leaves and wood chips.
The the coldest morning so far this winter. There was a spectacular frost. The temperature didn’t get up to zero until 10.30am, even though the sun was shining.
I was planning to saw wood, but it was too cold in the morning. I sawed 9 barrow loads this afternoon, and stacked the logs in the wood shed, while my son stacked a heap of logs that don’t need cutting. This should keep me going over the predicted cold couple of months.
