Mitchells
This morning the hardy photographers of the group went out to photograph the sunrise at the lake. I completely slept through it - so of course it was a stunner.
Once we were all breakfasted and ready we headed off to Mitchells for the day. A group of us went for a walk up to Carew Falls which were beautiful (but not particularly photographic).
We lunched on the lake front and in the afternoon another walk was on offer. Oldtimer and I chose to read our books instead while the others went off in different directions.
Then this evening it was back down to Iveagh Bay to photograph the sunset.
It has been a great weekend. Great weather, great people, great learning opportunities and all round great company. Thank you to Timaru Photographic Club (and Rainie who organised it all).
This is taken of the view alongside the road as we were heading back from Mitchells about 2.30 this afternoon. This place is just so stunning!
It was hard choosing a single blip so the extra is one of a wee section of the Carew Creek. Fantastic spot!
