Gladioli

They seem to get a bad press, probably for being as bit showy and blousy but I like them. Each year they seem to become more colourful and happily occupy one corner of one of the terraces.
A fair amount of house sorting going on with friends from a previous life arriving in the evening en passant to their house in the Languedoc. Apart from Tricia's moaning about lack of provisions after my Wednesday shop, plenty to eat and drink in a convivial meal.
