Lilies

These lilies have popped up spontaneously around the remains of a tree which blew down some years ago.  A stunning cluster of green and white, against the bare grey wood. 
It's been the most fabulous day.  Warm, sun shining and wind free.  I had coffee with my dear friend Liz, read, gardened and even took my winter whites (legs) out for a walk with the 3 squirrel hunters.  Perfect lazy Sunday. 
Then Cadbury started crawling about, had a huge vomit followed by repeated seizures.  Fortunately my vet was still open so I raced there, with him fitting on the back seat.  :(.  Poor boy.  I was worried he may have eaten something on the walk or else been bitten by a snake. Cadbury was given intravenous valium, which settled everything.  He has to go back for blood tests in the morning, after being monitored over-night; which essentially means he'll have to sleep with me.
