Festival
Having arrived at a football match to discover it was still 25 hours to kick off, rather than just the one, I back tracked into town and took in a few hours of the middle day of the Bradford festival.
The New York Brass Band (from York, not Brooklyn) greeted me off the bus, so I stayed with them to enjoy their upbeat street jazz (main image). I then toured the stalls and installations (extras) before settling down with a beer at the main stage for Rob Heron and the Tea Pad Orchestra (extras) who sang about Byker scrapyards with a western twang.
All of which was probably more diverting than a pre-season friendly, but I expect I'll try my luck at that again tomorrow.
