Early Bird

I thoroughly enjoyed, yesterday, seeing Ken Loach's early film 'Poor Cow' .I found the very naturalistic photography stunning : peoples faces, london pubs mid 60's, degeneration and decay, few opportunities for working class women beyond marriage. The Picturehouses chain are showing it as part of their vintage Sundays season : catch it if you can. Seeing it on a big screen makes a load of difference,especially if,as me, you sit, totally immersed in the front row. Poor Cow with a very beautiful Terence Stamp in a tin bath : remember him?.
