Feeding time at the zoo
When I tried to direct them to be the three wise monkeys they failed spectacularly. Mainly over not agreeing who would be what. When it became a game of see, hear, speak a la rock, paper, scissors they seemed to fare much better.
Today has involved far too many live creatures...with Albi coming nose to twitchy nose with a mouse* on the walk to school, a bird trapped in the house and a baby bird trapped in the garden. I think the latter suffered a combination of paralysis from fear of being barked at by Albi and abandonment by its parents. It was eventually shaken into action by Carl attempting to capture it in a cardboard box - under the instructions of the RSPCA I should probably add. The first bird was helped to leave the house by the third neighbour I called on, as the first two turned out to be as phobic about birds as I am.
We have also realised we are heading off for the summer in a little over 2 weeks so have managed to plan our route and book some hotels. Which feels like a start.

*I hope there are lurkers who are impressed with my ability to type that word and I want it known I have said it out-loud too.
