Surprise!!!!!!!
It's not a flower blip ;-)
Finally a dry day, hurahhhhh!!!!!!!!!!
We decided we were going to get out for a few hours today, regardless, and we did.
Drove over to one of our favourite garden centres as hub needed some more lawn feed, to fill the gaps after the last attempt ;-) He laid canes to mark the area to try and give it an even cover, which in the main worked, apart from where the canes were. Looking down, from the upstairs window, it looks a little like a green tartan ;-)
We also bought a couple of potted begonias for the bargain price of £3.99 and a couple of trailers to fill a couple of gaps in tubs.
After that we stopped off at a little cafe, parked up, donned our walking shoes and walked 3/4 miles along the canal bank. It was pleasant, but we did wear our waterproof jackets, as it was only 15/16 degrees:-/
I rattled off quite a few shots here and there but we both liked this view looking back along the canal best. We had a ploughmans for lunch in the little cafe, before driving back.
Our hairdresser came late this afternoon, so I am no longer Greek sunshine bleached blond, thank goodness, a little more subtle now, with a few lowlights ;-)
The sun has just come out....first time for days...I need to go and water my hanging baskets, and then think about dinner, as it's nearly 7pm!!! We bought some pork and apple sausages from a farm shop on the way home, so probably use those, with red onion relish, side salad and a few new potatoes.
Best get a move on!!!!
