Anatomy of a storm

The first picture was taken at 6:05 this morning. Clouds about, but nothing threatening. The second and third were taken between 9 and 10 in the morning. The forecast was for 1 to 2 inches of rain today. It began to rain about 11, gently, and by 1:12pm, it was tippling down in the fourth picture. The next three were all taken between 1 and 1:30pm and the last one is of raindrops on the deck. By 2 o'clock the sun was out, the deck was dry and there was 1.5 inches of rain in the rain gauge. All accompanied by plentiful thunder and lightning, as is usual.
Such is Kansas weather. I think there is still more to come.
