Barn swallow

They come back to the same nest every  year, but I don't know whether this is the same bird or one of the offspring.  The nest is high up in the barn and the photograph not as sharp as I would like, but this is the best I can do. The extra shows just the head of the bird well down in the nest.

A much better day today but very humid and we had thick fog this morning (not as thick as I can remember in Ilkeston but thick for this part of the world).
