Instruments of torture?
Not really, but Wednesday is the day I work out with the trainer, who is so kind as to come to my place to put me through my paces. The thing on the bottom right goes around the ankles and creates resistance as you step sideways pigeon-toed. The long loop with handles takes the place of weights - attached to the door frame, it provides resistance as you do bicep curls, etc. The ball is the fun part, for balance and a bit of aerobic exercise. I got really out of shape due to my back troubles and surgery last year, so I'm trying my not-very-energetic best to turn back the clock.
