Late flowers

Troubles with my internet connection kept me from getting in my Flower Friday blip on time, but here it is anyway.  It's a Lacecap Hydrangea, growing in the garden of friends with whom I share dinner and a game night once a month.  I love these, but have never seen a variety with quite such large flowers and color contrast between the central bud-like flowers and the lovely blossoms that seem to float around them.
I have been wanting to say how very much I appreciate the comments, stars and even a couple of faves for my blips of the last few days.  I may be new to this, but it has come to mean a great deal to me and I feel a part of a community that I think and care about a kit,
