2016 Wednesday -- Lavender Hydrangea
On this mid-July date, we woke to a cool moist winter-like morning robed in fog. We are just south of the Big Sur geography, nestled in the shadow of the Santa Lucia mountains and the weather here is determined by the ocean rather than our calendar. So we've enjoyed a lovely winter day in the middle of California's summer. The high today was 73 and sunset was at 8:19, but we did not see it because of the evening fog. It was cold, so we did not walk the pups on the beach today.
Recently I purchased three lavender hydrangea plants to accent and add color to the garden that lines the stairway to the front door. Mr. Fun planted one yesterday and another today. When he gets them all planted, I'll try to get a photo of that area.
