Finally
My winter supply of heat logs and a small amount of peat has arrived. There's half a ton on the pallet in the garage, ready for storage and the other half ton is gradually being carted around to my shed. Mrs Booty is being a star, she has volunteered her help for the afternoon.
The extra is an image of Öland peat from Sweden. Peat is/was used extensively in Ireland, it's a favourite memory, rather like pipe smoke. I just hope the neighbours enjoy it as much as I do. JazzyB may have a few mutterings when the wind swings around to the east.
The delivery driver spent his time here moaning about the condition of his truck, the weight of my load and the difficulties he faces in life. Wonderful. Made me feel good not to be associated with him. The link below will take you to a history page about Öland.
