The madness of Le Tour de France

We made a good decision not to camp on the mountain last night as 2 campers were taken off the mountain with hypothermia and the windchill factor reduced the temperature to - 11. with gusts of wind up to 125 mph!
We spent the day waiting and watching the cyclists as they sped past into a strong head wind near Modene. Hundreds of people lined the country road as you can see from the parked cars.. It is a great event for young and old full of colour and drama. Fellow blipper Zoe Wittering is on my picture taking shots of the peloton as well!
