US Holiday Day 3

Unknown strangers at Zabriskie Point in Death Valley, 8.30 pm and 124 degrees Fahrenheit. When the wind blows it was as if someone has just opened an oven door, you can feel the moisture being pulled out of your body. Strangely we did not sweat until we returned to the very air conditioned car, when it poured off us. We were late so missed the lowest point but, even without visiting the Badwater Basin, the whole place is very scary, we carried a lot of water and Gatorade to ensure hydration.
The extra shot is of our overnight accommodation, the only pace I was allowed to book on my own. It looked "interesting" on the internet and did not disappoint. It charmed the ladies as well so that was a bonus.Being able to sit on the front porch and watch huge American trucks pass by in the distance was an unexpected treat.
The motel is currently up for sale, only $299,000. A good investment opportunity maybe, or maybe not.
