Testing the waterproofs

Big thumbs up for my new musto jacket even in torrential rain i remained dry and it wasnt sweaty either. New boots had a tiny bit of moisture on a little bit of my foot. Considering how wet the hill was underfoot and how torrential the rain got im really pleased! 

The gather that was planned with another farmer was cancelled after a wait to see if the day improved. During the wait I got all the bed linen ironed for thr cottages phew! Then we decided to try for a couple of cuts gathering sheep off the hill on the farm where we manage the livestock. Because there are only the two of us gathering we break the hill into small sections walking all the way to the back and bring the sheep forward and in. Then back out again on the next section etc. Makes for a lot of walking!
