Watch the Birdie

A quick stroll round the garden before my afternoon visitor arrived for tea and biscuits.  I heard this bird singing long before I could spot it, as it was about 25 metres up in the tree.  I think it's a greenfinch, although I've never really heard them sing before so I was quite surprised when I saw it on my screen.

My visitor brought her Galapagos photo book that we had spent many hours preparing and it was great to finally see it in print.  We had hoped to sit out in the garden, but it decided to rain just at the wrong time, although it was short-lived.  Glad we're not having the high temperatures of further south at the moment!  Stay cool:-)
