Touching wood
If I could have been anything in the world, I'd have been a carpenter.
Today, I didn't rise to those heights, but I did spend a good part of today giving our neglected staircase some tlc. This staircase and I have a long road to travel, repairs-wise, and today was just a minor facelift to lift, mostly, my spirits. Really, is there anything better than running your hand along a beautifully smooth bannister? Well yes, probably, but not today.
My imminent demise is currently being held at bay by liberal consumption of anti- and pro-biotics who are currently waging the mother of all battles for control of my insides. Fingers crossed for a home win.
