Time Travellers 2016 - Sunday
Oh what a hot day!
Main shot: Scene 1 The rector of Little Gransden church finds a drunken visitor snoring in the front pews. As they show off their skills, Latin and and humour they begin to respect each other's talents. Eventually the visitor has to move on but not before he is asked his name. "Will...William Shakespeare is my name."
Well it could have happened!
Extra shots show our narrator who leads the audience around the village and explains what they are going to see. Our actor, Nic plays a real character, Reverend Frederick LeGrice who was rector of Great Gransden from 1832 to 1884. He was very interested in photography and held magic lantern shows in the school and dramatic recitals. The older gentleman is the homeowner of Scene 2 who has let us take over his garden for the last 2 months. All our home owners have forged real happy relationships with their casts!
Extra 2 Scene 5 the Victorian school children and their teachers tell about how children were kept away from school when they were needed around the farm...family and farming came first!
Extra 3 Some of the cast from Scene 3 make their way to our finale...a time to celebrate.
Extra 4 Cuthbert and Raymond...the final scene outside the Tithe barn. Everybody's favourites. The children are hysterical with laughter at this stupid pair and want to see the scene again and again until they know it off by heart and can act it themselves.
Extra 5 The final finale...its all over!
