School's out

Cartwheeling daughter, new book, fancy nails, happy dog, warm evening sun, The Chair, no bedtimes for 7 weeks.

Though given our need to watch the second half of American Odyssey and its complete unsuitability for young eyes there will need to be some being somewhere else if there are no actual bedtimes.

Today has been busy and fun and exhausting. Early morning dog walk to avoid heatstroke for us both. Quick end of term coffee with a buddy. Two long, productive and satisfying work meetings. End of term after school picnic.

I must try and get better at aligning my holiday button with the kids'. Mine keeps getting accidentally knocked even though I have another week to go. At least at the weekend we can start packing.
