Hotel Sacha
Today's the day ........................... to recommend
Ah well - all good things come to an end eventually - although this one seemed to be over in a flash. We're now back home in Kendal after a thankfully uneventful day of travel and can't believe how much things have grown in the garden in the space of a week. In spite of the weather obviously being hot here too, there must have been the odd bit of rain because everything looks pretty healthy.
We had such a good week in France and before it slips away into the realms of happy memories - I'd just like to say a bit about our Paris hotel because it really was a find that totally enhanced our time spent in the capital. It was called the Hotel Sacha and it was within walking distance of the Monmartre area of Paris - also not far from the Gare du Nord.
From the minute you enter its front door, you have the feeling that you are in a theatre. An imaginary audience is represented on wallpaper that forms a common theme throughout. The colours are striking and tastefully chosen and it all adds up to a quirky place to be. The tiles on our bathroom made it look as if you were in a library with a wall of books to choose from.
Best of all though, it was quiet - and although the temperatures outside were in excess of 35C - it was cool .........................
