Beryl's auntie went to the 1936 Berlin games and brought this little cigarette box back as a souvenir and was even in the stadium when Herr Hitler attended.

Now you've got to ask yourself why would a sweet shop owner from deepest Lancashire feel the need to go all the way to Berlin and how much would it have cost at the time?

On the other hand, other than the radio, there wasn't any instant news so maybe she felt she had to go and be part of it.
