Planning my next trip

Planning a trip is almost as much fun as executing it. In September I'll be leaving home in San Martín de los Andes and driving to San Juan for the FAAPI conference, where I'm giving a paper on 'Poetry in ELT'. From San Juan to San Isidro, Buenos Aires, for the South American Bird Fair where I'm also giving a paper, this time on 'Shakespeare's Birds'. Whence back home. Total distance as the crow flies about 4,100km but I intend to do a lot of birding en route and shall be choosing, what shall I call them, 'indirect' routes so I think the total is likely to be nearer 6,000.
