What's going on here?

This is the government public dock in Ganges Harbor on Saltspring Island where we went this lovely day for supplies.   Posting this funny shot with H carrying 3 heavy bags of groceries to the boat when who should appear to help him out but our Parker Island neighbor who just happened to be there !( They live on Saltspring usually but were headed to Parker having just returned home from months on their motorcycles in Europe and eastern Europe))   Thanks C!!   I had the other 2 bags but wanted a shot of the empty moorage.   It’s usually full of boats mid July at almost noon.   Where is everybody?    Our little boat is the farthest along on the right in front of the Mystic Isle trawler —(for sale… looks like a nice boat,   anyone???) and hidden by the piling…  We’d already made 2 other trips with other stuff from town.   Exhausting.   :-)  Happy to be back home..  Sorry we couldn’t work out a visit this day with Nanzy19, but we’ll be there again!  Maybe with less to do and time for a leisurely meal.    We plan our trips on good weather days , kind of last minute —it’s only about 7-8 miles across Trincomali Channel..but we don’t choose to go in lumpy water if we don’t need to.   

I like how this is actually all in focus front to back at f10 with my newish 35mm 1.8 lens..
