Quebec

At last we have found an enchanting part of Canada! We left the hotel this morning after a good breakfast and nipped into the local Costco for cheap petrol and a beach towel for when we get to the cottage.
A long trek along a straight rather monotonous if beautiful motorway. Stopped once on the way and arrived in Quebec after going through a huge storm!
We decided to visit the old town. Quaint narrow streets bordered by art galleries and cafes. We took the funicular to the Chateau Frontenac. A fantastic building part of which you can see! Unfortunately it can no longer be visited as it is a hotel! How I would have loved to have stayed there!

The statue is of Samuel-de-Champlain, the founder of the city.

I have taken many more photos. Choosing was hard! We were still walking round as dusk fell!
