The Pier At Night
We rarely get to town in the evening anymore. When we first moved here, five years ago, we were at the basketball court at least every other night. Now that we are old-timers, the heat, the noise, and the chaos (especially this time of year) that is our Zocalo is not as attractive as it once was. Tonight was a rare trip into the centro for a dinner out and a walk around. The pier was alive with people and the Zihua sign particularly popular with the many tourists visiting from inland Mexico. This family was taking a memento photo in the waning light of an overcast evening (which made the heat more bearable and another reason we headed into town today).
