The Anniversary Games 2016

A fun afternoon with my friend and former workmate Mary at the Anniversary Games in the Olympic Stadium at Stratford, London.  I just cannot believe it's four years since I was last here on Thrilling Thursday watching the Paralympics.  Many of the athletes from that amazing evening were competing again today, including Hannah Cockroft, David Weir, Dan Greaves and Johnny Peacock.  In the second half, we had the opportunity to watch many track and field Olympians too, culminating in a stunning performance in the Men's 5000m by Great Britain's Mo Farah.  Another pic of Mo being interviewed for telly just below us in extras, plus a selfie of Mary and me cheerfully sticking to our seats in the sweltering heat and GB mascot BritBear doing a 'Mo'.
