Soccer night . . . more like going to a funeral - one team in black, the other in very, very, very dark blue, ref and assistants in black (although one of the coaches persuaded ref to don red singlet over shirt), identical (black) shorts and socks. Result (1) fans couldn't tell the teams apart. Result (2) Kyle's team lost 6-5, which made him spitting mad when the game was over, at himself, his team, the ref, and the world at large.

High spot of the evening, apart from the glorious weather (which is fast becoming a drought) was Rosie, this giant poodle, who sat beside us and provided more entertainment than the funereal display on the field.
