Pete and Pablo
Last night we watched Orson Wells old 1950's War of the Worlds under the stars in downtown Santa Barbara. Projected on the lawn outside the gorgeous courthouse building it was a little magical sipping wine and munching on goodies under the stars...
This morning though we slept in late and took it easy. Jenn and I need it, both with a bad case of sunburn. In the afternoon though Pete and I and Pablo the pooch went out for a hike in the hills outside of town. One of the canyons full of pinyon pines, oaks and dry creek beds led up to in the foothills of the Santa Ynes mountains above town. At the top I took this photo of Pete and Pablo.
Later that night I cooked up a delicious meal for Jenn and Pete and we had an epic and unforgettable evening. Homemade gazpacho, Spanish paella with prawns and clams, and homemade sangria never tasted so good picnic-ing on the rooftop with candles overlooking the lights of the city below....
