Battlesbridge & bikes

Today has been an emotional & a delightful day. We visited the Battlesbridge Motorbike Museum with champagne & photographs to raise a glass and recall a few memories of Michael-Next-Door. He was a regular and a frequent visitor with friends there spanning more than 60 years of adventures. It is wonderfully rare to come across such an unusual range of motorbikes and such an unusual range of people. These men are wonderfully eccentric, hospitable, great storytellers & delightfully re-living great days gone by. I saw some bikes displayed because their owners don't have the room or the marriage to accommodate them. One gentleman has 8 bikes in the museum and a further 250 at home! There was much laughter, some great stories, wry reflections and a vibrant community life that I have not often seen. Having blipped some of the Museum members last week I chose to blip some of the many bikes on display. We'll visit again, there will be a knees up very soon. Great people, great place, great memories, great community.
