Stavkirke--Washington Island--Door County

This small church was built by volunteers in
1991 as a place of spiritual meditation and
and worship.  It is patterned after ancient style of church
construction in country of Norway.  It is a beautiful
church inside and out.  In future blips I will post
photos of the interior.  When a church service is
in progress, a sign is posted at the door--"Do
not enter, service in progress." It is on the outdoor
meditation path where I blipped the  quote
from bible, written by Matthew.several days back.
The church and path  sits in a forested, tranquil setting,
and one gets a peaceful feeling there.
