Going green!
In keeping with the current environmental trend, I decided we would "go green" with our Christmas greetings this year. With a little bit of searching, I discovered a nifty little piece of software that makes it possible for me to choose a design, add my own pictures to the design, and then add my own text. Once they were ready, I imported my Christmas card list, and clicked on "send." Then the fun really began because the software lets me know every time someone has opened their email and viewed my card. They also have the option to type a comment/reply on the card, and it is sent to me. The recipient can click on the corner of a page to zoom in or click on an individual picture to see a larger version. Oh, and it plays music too. I chose "The Little Drummer Boy." Can you believe interactive Christmas cards? I couldn't imagine how much fun I was going to have with this project. And it's a great way to use some of those thousands of digital images I have stored on my hard drive.
In the blip you can see two pages from the book I created. On the left is our house and a self-portrait of me with my husband and Gulliver. On the right is a picture of our daughters taken this summer. The front and back pages of the book contain the usual Christmas greeting and the inside pages, like the two shown here, contain family pictures to share with our friends.
