Say cheese!

Today Mr MC and I went into town to meet with friends for lunch and drinks.  Although we live just a ten  minute walk from a Central Line station, we don't venture into central London that often.  When we do, we often drive  to closer to the station as the walk, though short is very hilly.  On this particular day we walked...in hot sunshine...only to find that the Central Line was down due to an electrical fault.  We walked home to book a taxi to take us to Stratford where we could pick up the Jubilee line to reach our destination.
In the end, we were only half an hour late and enjoyed a great afternoon, with drinks at The George Inn and lunch at a nearby restaurant. After this our friends wanted to buy some cheese from Neal's Yard Dairy, which is where this shot is taken.  Mr MC is not a great fan of cheeses but was up for a silly picture!
We got home by tube, as things were almost back to normal, where daughter #1 greeted us sporting this fab 40s hairstyle, done for her at the War and Peace Revival Show in Folkestone. -  see extra shot.

In other news, my mystery foot problem, which started while we were on holiday, started up again and my poor foot is once again swollen, painful  and purple - a visit to the GP for me next week I think!
